The seventh tournament in this age category offered a number of very close matches, and teams that were at a relatively similar level of performance came to Poland.

As already mentioned, the home team dominated the tournament without much hesitation and decided almost all the matches in the first half. The only exception was the match with BA Young Diamonds , who did not win any matches in the tournament, but surprised the home team in the beginning. After the first quarter they led 21:13, but in the next phase of the match they could not face the strength of the home team and lost to them.

The direct battle for silver took place on Friday between the German team UBC Münster and the Czech team Sokol Dubeč . For three quarters, Dubeč managed to keep up with their German opponent, but in the end they no longer had the strength to turn the tables.

What the boys from the Czech Republic failed to do on Friday, they made up for in their last match on Sunday against the Polish WKK Wroclaw . The dramatic duel ended with a single-point difference of 50:48. Wroclaw ended up just short of the podium.

Another dramatic and balanced duel took place in the fight for at least one win in the tournament between two Czech teams. In the end, the players of BK VIVIDBOOKS Pardubice were happy with the 46:41 win, which finished in 5th place with honorable success. The Young Diamonds academy closes the table without a win, but they lost 4 out of 5 matches by a relatively small margin of 11 points.

SCC Ploskyriv surprised with its game performance and performance already at the autumn tournament organized Academy NH Ostrava . Today, it had no mercy on the home team and won comfortably. Saturday could be called a disaster for the favorites for the overall victory. Academy NH Ostrava team played a big role in this situation, first losing sensationally to the SKM Zastal Zielona Góra team by a difference of twenty-five points, and then completely destroying the Ukrainian SCC Ploskyriv, another co-favorite for the overall victory, in their second match of the day. The destruction was rather psychological, since the difference in the score was not abysmal, but the Ukrainian team scored only forty-three points. But as they say, "when two fight, the third laughs". Here it was true to the letter, because the tournament triumph was won SKM Zastal Zielona Góra , who hesitated against the Ukrainian SCC Ploskyriv , but thanks to a better mutual match with Academy NH Ostrava they were awarded first place in the tournament.

On Sunday, the red-hot Hornets achieved surprising results with their performance, defeating the Ukrainian SCC Ploskyriv . SKM Zastal Zielona Góra easily dealt with NBA Jelenia Góra and thus confirmed their victory in the tournament. In the last match of the tournament Academy NH Ostrava defeated the home team Basketpoint Frýdek-Místek by a higher point difference.

Friday's program already indicated that the tournament would be very tight and dramatic. Only Inter Bratislava had a 100% record on Friday. First, they played a very high-quality match with BC Swiss Krono Žary , where nothing was decided until the last minute. In the end, Inter won by a difference of five points. In the match with Basket 4kids Zielona Góra Inter had to fight with a very weak personal defense, but in the end, the decisive factor was the individual quality of some players, who managed to overcome the 4kids defense and build a slight lead in the last quarter, which was ultimately decisive.

The least successful day was for the second team from Zielona Góra, SKM Zastal, who were first unable to beat their city rival 4kids and then lost by a higher point difference to BCM Olomouc . However, SKM Zastal showed a nice performance and the fate of the match was decided by a greater number of mistakes compared to their opponents.

The most interesting match on Saturday's program was the duel between BCM Olomouc and BC Swiss Krono Žary . Beautiful mini-student basketball, full of interesting duels and individual performances, ultimately turned out better for the Polish team. The highlight of Saturday's program was the performance of the home team Sršni Písek , who managed to cope with the rarely seen zone defense of the 4kids team in the end and won by a difference of five points. Although the Sršni will beat BCM Olomouc on Friday, their stingers against BC Swiss Krono Žary apparently froze, as they did not show an ideal performance and the Polish team thus won an easy victory by seventeen points. However, the win over 4kids revived them and, as we all know, it is not advisable to mess with a swarm of hornets.

On Sunday, a tense match was expected between BCM Olomouc and Basket 4kids Zielona Góra . The rivalry between these teams was already established at the last tournament in Olomouc and unfortunately the match did not go completely smoothly here either. Olomouc entered the match actively, unfortunately they did not manage to create a larger point gap, they also struggled with the 4kids zone defense again. The even course of this match could not be tolerated by the 4kids coach, who was expelled after two technical fouls and the match had to be "finished" by his assistant. Olomouc played with enthusiasm and self-confidence and finally won by a difference of seven points after the fight.

And finally, the end of the tournament, as befits and belongs. The duel between the home team Sršni Písek and the favorite Slovak team BK Inter Bratislava was the highlight of the tournament. The Hornets are stinging as hard as they can and for three quarters of the game they keep the fans of the Slovak team on the verge of a heart attack. A wonderful and honest duel, full of quality performances by individual players, was the highlight of this tournament. In the end, the Slovak team confirms its quality and wins by a difference of six points, but it had to fight for it until the last minute. The home team does not have to be ashamed of its performance in the least. The match was accompanied by great support from the fans of both teams.

The home team beats Basketpoint Frýdek-Místek , which due to circumstances arrived at the tournament with a combined squad supplemented by younger players. The second match was a Polish derby between WKS Slask Wroclaw and SKM Zastal Zielona Góra. The WKS Slask Wroclaw team completely dominated here. The first round of matches is closed by the duel between the team from Hradec Králové and Chemnitz. Here Hradec showed a nice performance until halftime, but in the second half, German precision wins over Czech dribbling.

The highlight of the day was another Polish match, between the home team and WKS Slask Wroclaw . Stargard took a slight lead right from the start and although Wroclaw tried to turn the lead over to their side throughout the match, they lost by a difference of seven points.

Saturday was marked by early Christmas "gifts", when the hundred-point mark was broken four times and once it was only a few points short of it. The drama was offered only by the match that closed the Saturday program. The main roles were played by the home team of Stargard and the German academy from Chemnitz. The machine precision of the home team, which we already know from tournaments, was equal to that of the German team. In the end, after a nice fight, the home team wins, which is key to winning the gold medals.

On Sunday, Hradec Králové wins over Frýdek-Místek. Chemnitz confirms its silver medal with a clear win over WKS Slask Wroclaw . And at the end of the tournament, Stargard easily defeated SKM Zastal Zielona Góra.

The tournament started with a duel between the home team and Akdemie Grand Est , which traveled to the CEYBL tournament from far away France. The long journey also affected the performance in the first match of the tournament and the French academy lost it by a significant margin. The second match immediately offered a real drama, when Beksa managed to win by a single basket over the Polish team Lublinianka KUL Basketball . Beksa did not enter the match ideally and throughout the match they were closing a small deficit, but in the last quarter they set the pace as in the "Great Pardubice", the famous race, and in the end they won. Another thing is that there was no need for a finish photo, I have the impression that we do not have this technology available at tournaments yet :-). The last match of the first round was taken by a new team from Warsaw - UKS Bialoleka , which came up against the traditional participant WKK Wroclaw . Wroclaw had no mercy on the newcomer and gave it a more than thirty-point Christmas start.

Saturday's program ran according to "paper" assumptions and copied the results from Friday, so most of the exercises ended with a larger point difference.

On Sunday, Akdemie Grand Est won a big victory over Beksa, but even that was not enough for the first medal. Meanwhile, UKS Bialoleka in its first appearance, also won bronze thanks to a victory over Lublinianka KUL Basketball, .

The tournament program will conclude with a duel between the home team and WKK Wroclaw for gold medals. And it was a fierce, attacking, combative and truly worthy final match in a great atmosphere. The U14 category scored an unprecedented 213 points. A true celebration of basketball!!!

The home team BC Swiss Krono Žary , already a traditional participant in CEYBL tournaments, started the derby tournament with another Polish team AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski.

However, the home team did not enter the tournament very well and they lost by a large margin. The team was certainly in a better mood after the win over the Czech team Jížní Supi , but probably no one expected that this would be the last win in this tournament. Friday offered three national derbies, one Polish, one Czech and one German, which was probably the most interesting. The match between Mitteldeutsche Basketball Academy and Freak City Bamberg was very even in the first half, in the third quarter Bamberg created a double-digit lead, which it maintained until the end of the match.

Nymburk probably didn't like the game of the German teams at all. On Friday, they had big problems with Mitteldeutsche Basketball Academy , but they won by eight points. Saturday's performance with Freak City Bamberg brought drama. Nymburk didn't enter the game well and until the fourth quarter they were closing the gap on the German team. In the last quarter, there was a tug-of-war for every ball and in the end, "luck" was on the side of Nymburk, who won by a single basket.

In the opening match on Sunday, Bamberg easily defeated Jižní Supi and confirmed its position on the podium. AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski had no problems with Mitteldeutsche Basketball Academy and thus won silver in the tournament. And the tournament was closed by the home team's match with Nymburk, who, after a good start to the match, literally stumbled to the overall triumph in the tournament.

On the first day of the tournament, Beksa faced the team Vlci Žďár nad Sázavou , which tried to slow down Beksa's "take-off", but despite a great effort and quality performance, they lost by a larger point difference. In the second match of the day, against the Slovak team BK Inter Bratislava they set the pace of the game from the beginning, and Beksa's forty-three points scored in the first quarter determined the character of the match. An interesting match ended the first day's program, played between the home team AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski and Vlci Žďár nad Sázavou . The Wolves did not enter it in the best way, allowing the home team to rebound to a double-digit difference in the score several times, and although they came close to "shooting range" in some phases of the match, they ultimately lost by a difference of ten points. This match, as it turned out later, decided the third place in the tournament.

Saturday's program did not bring any major dramas, the favorites won the matches by a comfortable margin. It is worth mentioning the brave fight of Oberpfalz Hunters team players, who due to health complications are coming to the tournament with a rotation of only eight players. Despite this fact, they managed to play a decent game with Beksa and the wolves from Ždár nad Sázavou.

Sunday was no longer Friday the 13th, but it still brought no luck to the Oberpfalz Hunters team. The health of some players deteriorated so much that the German team did not even have enough players to start the match and BK Inter Bratislava, který thus won more easily than they themselves would have liked. In the second match of the Sunday program, SKM Zastal Zielona Góra thoroughly tormented the Czech team Vlci Žďár nad Sázavou , who won by a difference of three points after a great fight. The tournament ended with a duel between the home team and Beksa. Although the home team could rejoice in the bronze medals after the match, it had to feel a certain bitter aftertaste, since in the last match with Beksa it lost by a difference of almost forty points.

Ostrava was absolutely dominant in the tournament and on Friday its form was taken away by Górnik Airteam Walbrzych , who were the first to receive more than a hundred points in an early Christmas gift. MBK Karlovka Bratislava could actually congratulate itself as it was the only team in the tournament not to receive a "hundred" from Ostrava. However, even the Ostrava coaches at the press conference evaluated Karlovka's performance as courageous, passionate and predicted great potential for the team from Bratislava.

Friday's schedule also brought two national derbies, one Slovak and one Polish. In the Slovak derby, the BSC Bratislava team pulled the long end of the rope, winning by a thirteen-point margin on Friday the 13th. In the Polish derby, the margin was more significant in favor of the home team Korona 1919 Krakow .

Saturday's program offered Ostrava continuing its usual pace. Górnik Airteam Walbrzych played a very interesting match with NINERS Chemnitz Academy, which also showed that it has hidden potential, but in this match it has not yet fully utilized it and is losing by a difference of twenty-two points. Walbrzych also showed a fighting performance in its second match of the day against MBK Karlovka Bratislava, which it also wins.

Sunday started with a duel for at least one win in the tournament between MBK Karlovka Bratislava and NINERS Chemnitz Academy, the Slovak team was happy and certainly had a better ride home. The second match between BSC Bratislava and Górnik Airteam Walbrzych was a direct duel for bronze. In the first half, the Slovak team did better, in the second half the Polish team did better and thus won the bronze medals. The tournament ended with a match between the home team and Academy NH Ostrava . An even match for gold medals was expected, but the opposite was true. The home team did not manage its role and the first quarter with a score of 12:44 decided the fate of the match. Ostrava eventually won the final by a huge margin of 73 points.

How to summarize this tournament? A group of medalists who have fully developed potential (with a huge advantage for Ostrava) and then a group of teams who have a quality future ahead of them, as their playing and physical potential is enormous.

On Saturday, the main role was played by the home team. At first in the midday Academy NH Ostrava, nakonec však výhru bere Ostrava and in the early evening match, relatively poor in terms of scored baskets, they also defeated the ambitious BK Brandýs nad Labem .

In Sunday's program, Ostrava clearly defeats the South Bohemian selection JBN boys . Brandýs awarded Academy Potsdam an uncomfortable 129 points in the second game of the day. And the tournament closed with a duel between the home team and Ziolena Góra, which left nothing to chance and won by a large margin.

The tournament program in the German city of Jena started with a derby between the home team and Freak City Bamberg . The game was balanced and in the end Science City Jena used the home environment to win by eight points.

The second derby that day between BK Brandýs nad Labem and Válečníci Děčín did not take place in the end. The highlight of the tournament was certainly the match between the Polish team PGE Spójnia Stargard and the Czech team Válečníci Děčín , in which a total of almost 200 points were scored. Jan Kopecký ( Válečníci Děčín ) and Alan Grudzinski ( PGE Spójnia Stargard) decorated the great fight with individual performances, who scored 46 and 31 points respectively for their teams.

On Sunday, the weakened BK Brandýs nad Labem team made itself known, and it could be said that it sailed through the tournament inconspicuously. On Friday, he won a "defeat" win over Děčín. On Saturday, they defeat both German teams, and the tournament culminates in a medal match for them with the Polish team PGE Spójnia Stargard , which they enter weakened by five players who had to leave to play in the domestic extra league. Despite the significant weakening, they play a balanced game with Stargard and it is necessary to smack before their deployment and performance in a limited rotation.
