Gromy Nowy Tomyśl the winner of the U14 tournament
Gromy Nowy Tomyśl the winner of the U14 tournament
The first match was a duel between the home team BBA Komárno and the eventual winner - the Polish team Gromy Nowy Tomyśl . The first quarter was played in a cautious spirit and with an almost even score. In the second quarter, the Polish team took a significant lead that exceeded twenty points. After the half-time break, the home team set a higher pace and significantly reduced the deficit in the score, but they could not find the strength to turn it around and the Polish team won. In the second match between the team Fastav Zlín and BSC Bratislava the first quarter of the match determined the tone. Zlín probably still had thoughts on the road and gained a twenty-point deficit, which they carried on their shoulders throughout the match and because of that they lost their opening match. The last pair that entered the tournament were Beksa from Pardubice and the Ukrainian team BC Uzhhorod. Just as complicated was Beska's arrival by train to the tournament, so was her first match. The Czech team was clearly disorganized and the number of losses and mistakes gave them no chance of winning against the Ukrainian team. Beksa was also in another interesting match on Friday, where they greatly troubled the eventual tournament winner Gromy Nowy Tomyśl . In doing so, they immediately corrected their poor performance from the first match.
The Saturday program was dominated by the match between the Polish team Gromy Nowy Tomyśl . They first played a fantastic match against Zlín, which showed a heroic performance in this match, but in the end, thanks to a few small things, they did not achieve victory. In the afternoon program, another great match was played with the Slovak team BSC Bratislava . The Slovak team won the first quarter for themselves, the half belonged to the Polish team, after the third quarter BSC was again in the lead and in the end the Polish team celebrates victory. The match was both on a seesaw and more than heart-stopping for the spectators. The home team also wanted to speak about the overall standings and win one of the medals. First, they took on the Ukrainian team BC Uzhhorod with vigor. In the first half, they built a slight lead in the score, after the third quarter the score was even. In the last quarter, they fought for every ball and the Ukrainian team finally won. After this great match, they chose a weaker moment with Beksa from Pardubice. The home team played the first half in a good rhythm, then there was a slowdown and the second half was under the direction of the Pardubice team, which thus gained its first victory.
On Sunday, the Polish team Gromy Nowy Tomyśl had to fight hard to defend their victory in the tournament, and their tough opponent was the Ukrainian team BC Uzhhorod . The match was high-paced and committed, with many great performances and was fought until the last minute. Beksa managed to cope with Zlín and in the final match, which could no longer affect the standings in the BSC tournament, they defeated the home team.

Photomate Písek Hornets win U12 tournament
The tournament was introduced to us by the match between the home team Basketpoint Frýdek-Místek and the Slovak team Strojár Malacky . The home team entered the match vigorously and left no one in doubt that they were going for victory, which they achieved relatively easily. The second match was the Polish derby between the teams Polonia Varšava and WKK Wroclaw . In the match, we watch a fight for every ball on the board, unexpectedly in this category we also see a combined zone defense for themselves, which the team from Warsaw wins. The last teams to enter the tournament are the teams Sršni Photomate Písek and SKM Zastal Zielona Góra . The Hornets use their stingers cautiously in the first half of the match, but still gain a double-digit lead in the score. In the second half of the match, however, the hornet swarm attacked Zastal with full verve and ultimately wins by a large margin.
The vast majority of the matches in this tournament brought relatively balanced results, but with relatively low scores. This can certainly be attributed to the beginning of the season, when the teams are just getting used to the new composition, and such a tournament at this time will certainly contribute to the quality entry into the national competitions of the individual teams. The decisive match for the ranking in this tournament will be played by the home team against the Hornets from Písek early Saturday morning. The beginning of the match was more about knocking down the opponents and trying to wake up to higher performance speeds. The second and third quarters offered a great duel, when at the end of the third quarter the difference was only one basket on the scoreboard. In the last quarter, however, the hornet swarm in the hive (hall) gained unprecedented momentum and in the end it was a double-digit win.
On Sunday, the favorites for medals win and defend their positions, the team SKM Zastal Zielona Góra had the most problems with their opponent. The Slovak team Strojár Malacky showed its best performance of the tournament and tormented the Polish team, proving that it definitely belongs in the CEYBL tournaments.
Final tournament standings:
1. Sršni Photomate Písek (Czech Republic)
2. Basketpoint Frýdek-Místek (Czech Republic)

Basketball Talents Potsdam wins the U17 tournament
Basketball Talents Potsdam wins the U17 tournament
Although only five teams participated in the tournament, it was all the more interesting and exciting. The very first match offered an interesting and dramatic spectacle. The home team KS Korona 1919 RadwanSport Kraków challenged another Polish team Lublinianka KUL Basketball , to a duel. The home team entered the match better, but in the following period the situation on the board leveled off and after three quarters the score was even. After a great fight, Lublinianka won by a difference of five points. The second match between the teams Jížní Supi and BSC Bratislava also offered high-quality and balanced basketball. The team from Prague was finally happy with the victory. The last to join the tournament was the German team Basketball Talents Potsdam . Their opponent was the home team, which showed its best performance and defeated the eventual winner of the tournament after a great fight.
On Saturday, the German team Basketball Talents Potsdam played two interesting matches, initially losing to BSC Bratislava team for three quarters. The Slovak team showed that they did not come just to admire the sights of the historic city of Krakow and performed brilliantly. However, they could not withstand the pressure of the German team. They made several mistakes in the last quarter and Postsdam won. The second great match was played by the German team against Lublin. This match was the highlight of the tournament. Beautiful individual and team performances. In the end, the German team has more of the game and wins an important victory, which is ultimately key to winning gold medals. The last match of the evening brought a surprise. The home team lost to the Slovak team BSC Bratislava . The Slovak team built a small lead, patiently repelled the attacks of the home team and is therefore deservedly happy with the victory. The home team was not helped by the great atmosphere created by the fan club at their matches. From my point of view, quite a few injuries to key players of the individual teams also played a role in the results. We wish you a speedy recovery.
Only two matches were played on Sunday. In the first, Jížní Supi team only resisted the German Potsdam in the first half. In the second half of the match, the Vultures ran out of energy and received an unpopular "hundred". Potsdam thus confirms the gold medal win. Bratislava also only withstood the pace of Lublinianka in the first half. Lublinianka thus confirms the silver medal win with this victory.
Final tournament standings:
1. Basketball Talents Potsdam (Germany)
2. Lublinianka KUL Basketball (Poland)
3. KS Korona 1919 RadwanSport Kraków (Poland)
4. Jížní Supi (Czech Republic)
5. BSC Bratislava (Slovakia)

WKS Slask Wroclaw wins the U15 tournament
WKS Slask Wroclaw wins the U15 tournament
Traditionally, the tournament started with the home team and their opponent was BK Opava . Opava was slightly ahead throughout the game, after the third quarter the lead even climbed to twenty points and Opava deservedly won. The second match of the tournament was also Czech-Polish. The teams BCM Olomouc and KS Korona 1919 RadwanSport Kraków are showing one of the most unequal matches in the tournament. Olomouc entered the game well and gained a double-digit difference in the score. In the third quarter, they lost their lead, Korona reached an acceptable difference of five points, but they did not find the strength to turn the game around and Olomouc defended its narrow lead. In the third match of the day, the Polish team WKS Slask Wroclaw easily dealt with the German team Academy Potsdam .
There was only one even match on Saturday. And it was, as it turned out later, a match for fifth place in the tournament. The teams from Krakow and Potsdam are playing a perfectly even match. After the third quarter, Korona is enjoying a six-point lead, which they eventually increase slightly and win thanks to that. The other matches do not offer any major dramas and end with a difference of more than twenty points in the score. The favorites confirm their ambitions.
On Sunday, the last match of the tournament was interesting, when the home team challenged another Polish team, Korona Krakow. After the first quarter, it seemed that this would be a clear-cut matter for the home team. After the third quarter, the home team even leads by a difference of thirty-five points. In the last quarter, a completely different Korona came on, their players suddenly filled the pitch. They fight for every ball, hitting hard shots. In the end, however, the improved performance was not enough to win.
Final tournament standings:
1. WKS Slask Wroclaw (Poland)
2. BK Opava (Czech Republic)
3. MKS Strzelce Opolskie (Poland)
4. BCM Olomouc (Czech Republic)
5. KS Korona 1919 RadwanSport Kraków (Poland)

Basket Poděbrady wins the U13 tournament
Basket Poděbrady wins the U13 tournament
The Central Bohemian spa town of Poděbrady welcomed the CEYBL tournament for the first time and we hope not the last. The pleasant atmosphere of the renovated hall and a warm welcome by the organizers were given to all teams.
The tournament started with the home team and their opponent was the Polish team Lublinianka KUL Basketball . The home team bit into the Polish opponent right from the first minutes and after the first quarter, which ended with a score of 31:2, it was practically decided. Poděbrady thus gained their first win in the tournament by a relatively large margin. Several matches were played on Friday that had an impact on the final standings. The first of them was the duel between PGE Giek Turów Zgorzelec and BA Sparta Praha . The Polish team entered the match more actively and gained a small lead in the first quarter. However, Sparta subsequently took over the activity and at halftime of the match already turned the lead over to their side and did not let Zgorelec take the lead. The last match of the day was a dramatic performance between Sparta and the Austrian team Vienna Timberwolves . Sparta entered the match quite sleepily and the Vienna team had a double-digit lead at halftime, which grew to twenty points in the third quarter. However, Sparta entered the final act as if they had been sprinkled with living water, suddenly they were full everywhere, fighting for every ball and gradually reducing Vienna's lead. Despite a great effort and thanks to several mistakes, they ultimately failed to turn the match around.
And on Saturday again Sparta :-). Things were happening in the match with SKM Zastal Zielona Góra . In the first quarter, the teams were just warming up and were leaving with an even score. In the second quarter, Sparta took a little nap and Zastal had a double-digit lead. The coach's half-time agreement was apparently strong, Sparta started to close the gap on the Polish team and had several opportunities to take the lead, especially in the last quarter of this match. However, minor inaccuracies did not allow them to turn the game around and the Polish team celebrated a hard-earned victory. The home team played two matches that were like a copybook. They were characterized by an intense start to the match, where they built up a decent point cushion. Subsequently, they started playing with pleasant ease and thanks to the win over the Vienna Timberwolves and SKM Zastal Zielona Góra they celebrated first place in the tournament after the end of Saturday's program.
Sunday's program did not bring any big surprises. The teams confirmed their paper predictions and the tournament ended in a pleasant atmosphere.
Final tournament standings:
1. Basket Poděbrady (Česká republika )
2. SKM Zastal Zielona Góra (Poland)
3. Vienna Timberwolves (Austria)
4. BA Sparta Praha (Czech Republic)

All-star team:

Dolny Slask dominates the U14 tournament
Dolny Slask dominates the U14 tournament
The tournament started with a match between the home team Kangoo Basket Gorzów Wielkopolski and the regional team Dolny Slask . The winner was already decided halfway through the match, the difference of almost seventy points was more than abysmal and the Dolny Slask team claimed its first win in the tournament. The second match of the day offered a more even match. The opponent Górnik Airteam Walbrzych was the Academy Potsdam team, which traveled from Germany. The first half was very even, in the third quarter the German team set a higher pace and gained a double-digit lead in the score, which it then cherished until the end of the match. The last two Czech teams to enter the tournament are BK Gapa Hradec Králové and Academy NH Ostrava . This match, as it later turned out, was a match for silver. Ostrava got into a double-digit lead in the first quarter, which it patiently increased until the end of the match.
On Saturday, the most interesting match for third place in the tournament was held, where the team from Hradec Králové had to repel attacks from the teams Kangoo Basket Gorzów Wielkopolski and Górnik Airteam Walbrzych . In both cases, it succeeded relatively smoothly, gaining a double-digit lead in the score after the first quarter. And considering that Hradec also won significantly over the team Academy Potsdam on Friday, the bronze medals go to East Bohemia.
The basketball academy from Ostrava actually sailed through the entire tournament inconspicuously, losing only to the regional team Dolny Slask and winning silver. On Sunday, the tournament ended with a rather dramatic match between the home team and the Academy Potsdam team. Despite the fact that it was a duel for fourth place in the tournament, the duel was "on a knife's edge". The home team tried hard for its second win, but German "precision" won.
Final tournament standings:
1. Dolny Slask (Poland)
2. Academy NH Ostrava (Czech Republic)
3. BK Gapa Hradec Králové (Czech Republic)
4. Academy Potsdam (Germany)
5. Kangoo Basket Gorzów Wielkopolski (Poland)
6. Górnik Airteam Walbrzych (Poland)
The following players received individual awards:
MVP:

Academy NH Ostrava wins the U16 tournament
Academy NH Ostrava wins the U16 tournament
The cards determining the order are actually dealt already in Friday's program. First, the home team welcomed the Slovak team BSC Bratislava. A the first quarter immediately determined who was the master on the field, when Academy NH Ostrava built a twenty-point lead, which it maintained and slightly increased until the end of the game. BSC Bratislava also played a role in another game that affected the overall ranking in the medal places, their opponent was the Polish team Basket 4kids Zielona Góra . BSC again started the game poorly and lost the first quarter significantly. This affected the entire game and the Polish team won comfortably.
On Saturday we could watch the Bratislava derby between the teams BSC Bratislava and Dynamo Bratislava . The first half was relatively even, but in the third quarter BSC increased the pace and deservedly wins. The next match did not offer much beauty, we would have expected a result of 28:34 at halftime, but it was important for determining the fifth place in the tournament. It was a Polish duel between the teams Lublinianka KUL Basketball and AK Ożarów . Both teams look like nice, they have experience in basketball activities, but they are not yet consistent enough, as befits this category. In any case, the victory goes to Lublinianka KUL Basketball team. Saturday was closed by the match between the home team and Basket 4kids Zielona Góra , which was the imaginary final of the tournament. Ostrava left no one in doubt that they wanted to win, especially in the "run" Jakub Ptáček with 39 points. However, as we know the teams from Ostrava, it was primarily a team performance.
On Sunday, Lublinianka tried to surprise BSC, but they ultimately failed. Ostrava dealt with Dynamo in a calm atmosphere and 4kids gave no chance to AK Ożarów , who scored twenty-five points in the first quarter and it was basically decided.
Final tournament standings:
1. Academy NH Ostrava (Czech Republic)
2. Basket 4kids Zielona Góra (Poland)
3. BSC Bratislava (Slovakia)
4. Dynamo Bratislava (Slovakia)
5. Lublinianka KUL Basketball (Poland)
6. AK Ożarów (Poland)
The following players received individual awards:
MVP:
Matyáš Kubját ( Academy NH Ostrava )
All-star team:

MKS Ósemka Skierniewice wins The Finals U14
MKS Ósemka Skierniewice wins The Finals U14
The last final tournament of this season was hosted by the Polish city of Żary. The Friday and Saturday morning program was filled with group matches. In group "A" the teams are fighting for the semi-finals - MKS Ósemka Skierniewice , SKM Zastal Zielona Góra a BC Swiss Krono Žary . In group "B" there are teams PGE Spójnia Stargard , WKK Wroclaw and Akdemie Grand Est . In group "A" the home team Zastal first lost and then was not enough for MKS Ósemka . This condemned them to the fight for fifth place in the final tournament. Zastal and MKS Osémka are fighting for first place in the group on Saturday morning. The duel was very even, on the side of Zastal there was mainly great discipline and organization of attacking activities, on the side of Osémka there was strength and Piotr Mąkolski , who was ultimately the decisive factor in this match. In group "B" we can watch the fights of the only team that did not qualify for the final tournament from Poland - the French team Akdemie Grand Est . Let's admit that it was not a completely comfortable position, to be in a tournament where there are only "home teams" and on their own field. The French team fought bravely, when for three quarters they kept up with one of the highest quality projects in Poland - WKK Wroclaw . However, in the end they succumbed to the pressure of the Polish team. In the second match, their entry into the match became fatal, when the first quarter ended with an absolutely catastrophic score of 1:18 to the detriment of the French team. And so the French team had to be content with the fight for fifth place. The group was closed by the fight between WKK and Stargard. The Stargard coach used a trick known in the Czech Republic called. "Csaplár's trap" (a replica from the football world) and very well, when WKK cherished an almost twenty-point lead at halftime, only to end the game with a seven-point loss.
On Saturday afternoon, the semi-finals awaited us. First, the duel between Osémka and WKK. It looked like a seesaw. Osémka entered the match actively and had a small lead at halftime. WKK then took the initiative and after the third quarter took a seven-point lead. In the last quarter, we moved from a seesaw to a centrifuge, crazy twists and turns occurred, and finally Piotr Makolski was back, who decided that he wanted his team to be in the final. Osémka eventually won by a difference of three points. The second semi-final was relatively calmer, with Stargard slightly ahead throughout the match, only to eventually win by over twenty points over Zastal. The first match for fifth place will also take place on Saturday, when the French team uncompromisingly destroyed the home team and certainly improved their mood a little.
This match was repeated on Sunday morning. The home team did their best to win. The match was evenly matched and somewhat nervous throughout, but in the end Akdemie Grand Est team showed stronger nerves and thus won the hard-fought fifth place in the tournament.
The final tournament culminates first with the silver medal match between WKK and Zastal. Zastal showed a very concentrated and organized performance and won a well-deserved victory over a tired WKK. And finally, we have the grand finale. MKS Ósemka Skierniewice and PGE Spójnia Stargard are competing for the title in the U14 category. After the first quarter, the score is even. In the second quarter, it seems that Osémka has more of the game, or is it possible that the Stargard coach is trying the "Csaplár trap" again? If that was the case, then this time it did not pay off, Osémka already holds the reins of the match firmly in its hands and every time Stargard comes within striking distance, it has an answer. Stargard fights until the last moment, but MKS Ósemka Skierniewice team deserves to win. Congratulations.
Final tournament standings:
1. MKS Ósemka Skierniewice (Poland)
2. PGE Spójnia Stargard (Poland)
3. SKM Zastal Zielona Góra (Poland)
4. WKK Wroclaw (Poland)
5. Akdemie Grand Est (France)
6. BC Swiss Krono Žary (Poland)
The following players received individual awards:

SKM Zastal Zielona Góra wins The Finals U13
SKM Zastal Zielona Góra wins The Finals U13
Friday and Saturday morning's program was filled with group matches. In group "A" there are teams Górnik Airteam Walbrzych , BK Lokomotiva Plzeň and Válečníci Děčín . In group "B" there are teams AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski , SKM Zastal Zielona Góra and Academy NH Ostrava .
In group "A", the home team first comfortably defeated Děčín, who played their best game of the tournament in the subsequent match against BK Lokomotiva Plzeň, the reigning champion of the Czech Republic. However, in the final, Lokomotiva confirmed their quality and condemned Děčín to fight for the final fifth place in the tournament. Lokomotiva chose a weaker moment on Saturday morning, when they lost to the euphoric home team.
Group "B" was dominated by AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski . They first dealt with the eventual tournament winner Zastal and then defeated Ostrava, who did not arrive at the tournament in the best mood. Stal's performance is admirable, considering that these were the fourth and fifth matches in their schedule this week. On Saturday, Ostrava was not enough for Zastal and was therefore condemned to fight for fifth place.
In the semi-finals of the Polish derby, the home team, despite a brave performance and overwhelming support from the audience, loses to Zastal, which relies mainly on a wider rotation of players who are dangerous for the opponent's basket. In the second match, the teams BK Lokomotiva Plzeň and AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski meet. The first half was very even, in the third quarter Stal had a minor loss, which ultimately turned out to be crucial and Plzeň thus defended its progress to the final.
The first match for fifth place in the tournament was also played. The Czech derby pits teams from Děčín and Ostrava against each other. In this first match, there was a feeling of disappointment at not advancing to the medal matches. The match, full of uncertainties, was ultimately won by the players from Děčín with a difference of seven points. On Sunday, in the second match, we can watch more attractive and combative basketball. Ostrava built up an almost twenty-point lead, which they lost in the last quarter and defended their victory by two points with all their might. Thanks to the scores from the mutual matches, Děčín defended fifth place in the tournament.
On Sunday, the tournament culminates in the medal matches. First, the bronze medal match was played between the home team and the team AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski . The home team went after the medal with great determination and commitment. AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski was a balanced opponent throughout the first half, then fatigue from the demanding program (eighth match in one week) showed and the home team had a clear path to the medal.
And finally, the Grand Final, which was the absolute highlight of the tournament. The first half was absolutely balanced, great effort, beautiful combinations, simply great basketball. In the third quarter, Zastal gains a small lead, which Lokomotiva tries to eliminate. In the fourth quarter, the fight for every ball continues and Lokomotiva tries to turn the lead in the match to its side. Unfortunately, at this stage, a Pilsen player was injured and the game was interrupted for several minutes while the player was treated. The match was then completed, but the atmosphere was affected by this. SKM Zastal Zielona Góra skillfully guarded its lead and deservedly wins the tournament. Congratulations.
Final tournament standings:
1. SKM Zastal Zielona Góra (Poland)
2. BK Lokomotiva Plzeň (Czech Republic)
3. Górnik Airteam Walbrzych (Poland)
4. AK Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski (Poland)
